Job Overview:

The Family Office Service team provides accounting and consulting (CFO Services) to ultra-high net worth individuals and families. CFO services include financial and net worth reporting for public and private assets through Addepar, accounting and reporting for closely-held entities, cash flow management, bookkeeping, including limited bill payment, comprehensive document management, and coordinating tax support for investments and partnerships.

As a Director, you will lead the further development of the service model including deliverables, processes, operations, workflows and staffing as we grow the service line. Additionally, you will lead business development for new clients and directly manage a limited number of clients. Client service includes global investment reporting preparation, investment document management, quarterly financial reporting including accounting activities, limited bill pay, and cash flow reporting of client investment entities, with internal administrative support. The investment activity and reporting will be coordinated with the advisory team.

This role is responsible for delivering services that help to protect and manage client assets and interests by managing and leveraging partner relationships, vendors, and other third-party interactions. You will be able to identify needs and propose solutions to successfully complete projects on time with team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead further development of the service line, including refining the structure and deliverables, and the plan for future growth
  • Lead prospect meetings and onboarding of new family office clients with members of broader team
  • Develop and implement new Family Office Services procedures and processes to enhance workflows

Client Service Responsibilities:

  • Quarterly reporting and regular communication of financial activity directly with client
  • Oversight and preparation of all financial activity for financial reporting
  • Working with investment advisors on account performance and asset reporting
  • Oversight of private investment activity and reporting
  • Working with tax advisors to support tax reporting
  • Oversight of banking and managing fund flows for investments
  • Managing document files for financial reporting and private investments

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience with the majority in a client service environment
  • Public accounting and/or professional services background, with tax experience in partnership accounting, CPA firm or investment management firm
  • Family Office Service experience is a strong plus
  • Experience managing accounting and financial transactions for family entities including personal trusts, family limited partnerships, various trusts, or FLPS.
  • Strong change management skills and ability to work cross-departmental
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflow and manage multiple projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business
  • CPA Designation preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce, Addepar, and/or Arch is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
