At Venturi, our commitment to empowering families for generational prosperity is at the heart of everything we do. We are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with Succession Advisors to launch our NextGen Wealth Education Initiative.
Sisi Provost, Venturi’s Director of Family Education, in collaboration with esteemed estate planning expert, Andy Katzenstein, will kick off the first installment in a three-part educational series: Introduction to Estate Planning and Post-Death Administration of Wills & Trusts.
What You’ll Learn
This course is designed to demystify estate planning for the rising generations of family leaders, equipping them with the tools and insights needed to carry forward family legacies.

- Estate Planning Concepts: Explore fundamental methods of wealth transmission, different fiduciary roles, and key decisions to consider when structuring an estate plan.
- Wills: Understand the steps for establishing a will, from drafting and execution to safekeeping and the selection of an executor.
- Trusts: Dive into the types of trusts, such as revocable, irrevocable, and testamentary, with guidance on their execution, common provisions, and how they can help avoid probate.
- Probate Process: Gain insight into the probate court process and learn how some assets can bypass probate.
- Post-Death Administration of Trusts: Navigate the post-death administrative steps, including the timeline for inheritance and required administrative actions.
- Beneficiary Contests: Learn about contesting wills or trusts, differences in mediation and arbitration, and best practices to avoid disputes.
- Ancillary Topics: Discover additional estate planning topics, including powers of attorney, healthcare directives, guardianships, and an introduction to estate taxes.

Course Details
To maximize flexibility and support our students’ diverse schedules and locations, the course is structured as an 8-session virtual series. Each week, students will join a 60-minute teaching session, followed by a 15-minute interactive Q&A led by Mr. Katzenstein.
A Teaching Assistant will also be available throughout the course to provide additional support, answer questions, and ensure students feel fully equipped to navigate the course material.
